hwos.co.uk Tweaks and Improvements Update
We've been busy in the background over the last few months making several minor tweaks and improvements to the website to try to make it even easier to navigate and find the products you're looking for, as well as other bits and pieces to make general use of the site more simple and easy to use.
The tweaks we've made include:
- Even more improvements to the search function - products will now appear higher in search results based on their popularity, ensuring the most common catalogue products like RDB pumps and Danfoss coils are always shown first
- You can now search for specific nozzle sizes (eg. 0.75 80'EH) as well as being able to choose from a full list
- Adding in all new products launched with the release of our 2019 Gas, LPG, Oil & Heating Spares Catalogue (request your copy here)
- Reorganising all product categories to better reflect the order in the printed catalogue, and keep similar products next to each other
- Reducing the size of categories by splitting them into additional subcategories, reducing the number of product pages needed to get through to find the part you're looking for
- All new Collection Point Finder page allows you to find your nearest UPS Access Point or DPD Pickup Point without having to go through checkout first
- Added a 'Time' column when viewing delivery services at checkout to make it clearer when you can expect to receive your delivery
- Reworked the 'Forgotten Username' and 'Forgetten Password' links at login to make recovering your details more simple
- Updated some images (this is an ongoing job that will take a little while!)
We're still working hard and are committed to continuously improving your experience with the site. We have plenty of big plans for significant improvements in the coming months but in the meantime we're focusing on updating and adding to product descriptions, more updated images as well as images from alternate views, adding any supporting documents as PDF's and adding more keywords to ensure the most relevant results are always displayed when using the search bar.
